The other Boleyn girl by Philippa Gregory
Book Number:RC 58873
4 sound cassettes
Narrated by: Martha Harmon Pardee
Fictional portrayal of Mary Boleyn and her siblings, Anne and George, at
Henry VIII’s court, where the three were sent to advance the Howard family’s
fortunes. Mary’s account takes her from her own affair with the king and her
replacement by Anne to Anne’s execution. Some descriptions of sex. 2001.
I read this book on the recommendation from my friend Mary, and it was a
fabulous read. I am anxious to see how the movie compares. It gave a very
different look at Anne, the King and life at court. I have ordered the
sequel, The Boleyn Inheritance, RC 63762. I give this one a 5 out of 5.
Happy reading,
Carla/TexasRed
